I Believe This Is Heaven To No-one Else But Me...

Hello all!

If you follow me on twitter, then you probably know that I was up until the early hours of the morning. No, it wasn't on purpose, I just couldn't sleep. Despite the bone crushing tiredness that has only just worn off, I'm actually really glad that I was awake at 4:00 in the morning; want to know why? Well, I'll tell you: I saw this:
I know it's not the best picture in the world, but I couldn't do any better at 4am. Call me a big ol' softy, but I love how the night sky is melting into a new day; really spiritual and all that jazz. As well as looking beautiful, the only sound I could hear were little birds chirping away. I felt so peaceful and stress free, just sitting, watching a new day break. I guess I fell asleep quite quickly after I took the picture because I woke up with my head on my windowsill...Anyway, I woke up feeling really good (minus the aforementioned tiredness). I thought about it alot today, these peaceful moments just don't occur in my life that often; luckily, when they do, I always get a picture to remind myself...

So here they are, a few little peaceful moments from the past two years:

I was walking home from school after a drama rehearsal and I didnt have my ipod with me, so it was basically silent. I  was already in a good mood from drama, but seing this really made my day!

This was taken in a taxi. We were on our way from the airport to our hotel (we were in Holland), and the sky just opened up. People that know me well know that I LOVE the rain, and I love Holland too. I was well rested from the flight, and we were only there for a day; I'm not going to lie, it made me feel like a really cool nomad person...seeing this picture makes me want to do a post on my trip to Holland...hmm...maybe I will...

Now, this one's a funny picture. I was walking to school one morning and I looked at the rugby posts to see a line of grumpy seagulls sat there squaking away. It's really cute to see that even birds have friends!

A bit of a corny post, but I really do love these little moments; they kind of make the stress and hectic-ness worth it.

Keep safe and keep smiling!

Do It Like A Brothaaa, Do It Like A Duuuude!

Right-o!! I had a request from my good friend to do a 5 Things post about her. Now. There's a million things I could write here about her, that part's easy; the difficult bit is WHAT to write. I've thought about it all day and I've decided to write 5 random things I love about her. So...since she asked so nicely, these are my 5 things I love about Georgia!!

  1. Her laugh! It's like the cross between a duck and a creaky door...and it's so loud! It seriously brightens my day :)
  2. Her singing! This kinds of explains the title...when we went bowling for PE we were listening to the radio on the minibus and 'Do it Like a Dude' by Jessie J came on. Now. We all belted it out like loonies, but then all of us (minus Georgia) stopped and all you could hear was Georgia's 'Do it like a brothaaaaaaaaa, do it like a duuuuuuuuuude!. (this is only one instance, but trust me, there's more of those)
  3. Her craziness! I know this is quite a general staement, but I really couldn't narrow it down...Georgia's the kind of person who carries on the joke until she's run out of funny things to say about it (which takes a LONG time) for example: she wrote a status on facebook and look what happened when I commented a joke...

  • Her hair! I know, it's a bit of a silly one, but this is my blog so nuuuuh :P I've known Gerogia for 7 ish years, and her hair has certainly evolved...but every she can pull off any style so its not really an embarassing thing unlike my *ahem* hairstyles. Anyway, I've seen it short, long, brown, highlighted, middle parting, side parting, PURPLE...the works. I hear that she's going to get it natural again which I'm excited for - not that I don't like her hair now, I just haven't seen her with brown hair for ages :)
  • Her strength! I don't mean her physical strength, because its so obvious she has it ;) I'm talking about her mental/emotional strength. I really do admire her for it. Life, being the bitch that it can sometimes be, has thrown all kinds of crap Georgia's way, alot of hardship and alot of stress. Yet, you wouldnt know it. Constantly, I see her smiling, laughing her freaky laugh and just having fun!

So Georgia, I hope you have enjoyed a post dedicated soley to you! Peace out gym buddy.

Keep Safe and Keep Smiling!

Stay With Me, This Is What I Need

Hey- o!

Got back from the gym a little while ago, and I am knackered! We* started off on the bikes (I ended up doing 5 kilometres on 'em) and then, like the sporty person I am, I ran a WHOLE kilometre. Now, for all those buff/fitness freaks out there, I KNOW it might not be spectacular for you; but for me, the weedy girl with a particular dislike for excersise (up til recently) it's like Rocky running up those steps. After my hurculean effort, I had to sit down for while because I felt like I was going to throw up everywhere; but once I was okay again, I walked another kilometre on the treadmill and ran another half. Then, I rowed a kilometre. How healthy am I?

That was the proper excersise over with. Then we pratted around a bit on the weights; here's what I discovered:
  • I have very strong legs (EVEN after jelly-fying them on the treadmill)
  • My arms are pitifully weak (I couldnt even lift the thingies ONCE)
  • I rule at stomach crunches. (Nuff said)

Tell Me Tomorrow, I'll Wait By The Window For You

As you could probably tell from the title, I've just watched some Gavin&Stacey...brilliant! Anyway, I'm in a good mood, so I thought i'd do a quick 5 Things post :)

5 Things I love at the moment:
~One Tree Hill (even though Brodi has all my box sets so I'm suffering from withdrawal)
~Gavin and Stacey (it's hilarious and cute)
~Reading! (I kind of got out of my reading habit, but thanks to yesterday I'm back on top form!)
~Food (this may sound strange to those who don't know me, but recently my love of food has tripled! Thats why I'm being extra cautious by going to the gym and trying to eat healthy...I need to stay this size to fit in my prom dress!)
~Exercise (I never thought I'd say this, EVER, but I actually miss PE ! Without exercise being force upon me, I'm struggling to do any - which is being helped by Georgia's gym schedule! Anyway. I'm itching to get to the gym so I can 'work up a sweat' as some sporty people say).

I would go for a run tomorrow or something, but I'm going somewhere with my mum :) we're going to ask the hairdresser how light they can get my hair...I'm so exited!!!

Anyways, keep safe and keep smiling!!

P.s if any readers out there want to see any other '5 things' posts,or anything else for that matter, comment and let me know! X
